How much does DigiCert USB Security Token costs?
DigiCert Smart Card costs RM335 and it has to be renewed every 2 years. If you are a first time applicant. Please refer above for the documents required. The amount we received from you is payable directly to DigiCert Sdn Bhd and we DO NOT PROFIT from that.
What is Notification Note and Product Information File?
Notification Note is formerly known as MAL numbers before year 2008. It is an authorized note issued by local authority enabling your company to import and distribute your submitted product in Malaysia.
Product Information File consists of four (4) parts in accordance to the ASEAN Cosmetic Directives.It contains necessary safety information pertaining your product which you have submitted to the local authority, and you are advised to keep this file in your premises for post market surveillance purposes.
How to define a product or a variant?
A product is defined as one or more SKUs sharing the same percentage of composition of ingredients.For example, Day Cream 30ml, 60ml, 150ml will be regarded as one (1) product submission.
A variant is defined as one or more SKUs sharing same or similar percentage of composition of ingredients but different colors, fragrance or flavors. For example, Lip Gloss (Strawberry), Lip Gloss (Apple) will be regarded as variances. Each variant is considered as one (1) product submission.
How long does it take to secure an approval?
It normally takes not more than 5 working days to receive a Notification Note from the authority, provided the documents provided are complete. If you are a NEW APPLICANT, it may take us 2 weeks to apply and obtain the Notification Note due to the fact that 1 week is required to obtain DigiCert USB Security Token and another few working days to update the ministry's database.
